Garrighyll Fell Pony Stud is situated near Rochester, MN. Owner Alison Emslie- Smith was born in Northumbria, England and has known the quality of a good Fell pony since she was a child. She has lived in America over twenty years and began breeding Fells in Minnesota under the prefix Garrighyll.

The farm takes its name from Garrigill, Cumbria a small village in the North Pennine region of the UK situated on the banks and close to the source of the River South Tyne and near Cross Fell.

The Garrighyll Fell Pony Stud now has one of the largest herds of Fell ponies in North America. We are committed to keeping the ponies as naturally as possible and presenting them in the traditional manner. The goal beyond enjoyment, is to breed Fell ponies in Minnesota that are equal in quality (or better) compared to the best Fell ponies in the North of England!
